Love Has No Limits Stamp

In today's world, love means anything; any gender, any race, and (almost) any age. But for some reason, since '06 happened, everyone goes nuts over a human and a Hedgehog (even though most of them are perfectly okay with Shadow and Maria...). Why? Because in everyone's mind, he's just an animal. But he's not an animal, he's anthropomorphic which isn't the same as being animal but he certainly isn't fully human either, of course. Not only this but he, unlike a real little Hedgie, can consent.

This is Mobius, not Earth (I don't see New York or Italy or any other real local; just locations inspired by real world places with different names. That is not the same as Earth.) Elise did not fall in love with a Hedgehog that walks on four legs, can't talk, and has the mind of an animal. She fell for a Mobian, just like herself. I know that Mobians used to be animals but even after they were changed and became Mobians, they weren't animals anymore, their entire DNA changed and thus, they are not the same beings. If a Mobian has the ability to comprehend who they have feelings for, human or otherwise, why do we act like its wrong when clearly, it isn't on Mobius. It's because we apparently fail to see just how "human" Sonic is. Sure he's a Hedgehog, but like I said, he isn't fully feral. On Mobius, the species are like races here in Earth. Elise is (obviously) Caucasian and Sonic could be, say, Black or Hispanic or whatever. Yet we are entirely xenophobic (probably the wrong word to use here but I haven't the slightest clue what else to use) about the entire idea of Sonic and Elise being together all because we greatly hate a bad game (and because our mind immediately goes to sex because of one kiss).

I personally believe that besides looking "cute" together, the real reason people ship Sonamy is because they are both the same species or race. I swear most people would rather be caught looking at porn of their most hated ship than ship two separate species together. I know that it's a common thing for each race to be attracted to the same race that they are (at least I think so?), but there are interracial relationships in our culture so why do we act like this is bestiality when all it is is an interracial relationship for Sonic's universe? Besides, Sonic was meant to be with a human (named Madonna) anyway so technically, SonElise would be considered canon. In addition, interracial relationships are more common in the comics (from what I've seen) than same-species relationships. King Max (Squirrel) and Queen Alica (Chipmunk), Sonic (Hedgehog) and Sally (Chipmunk), Antoine (Coyote) and Bunnie (Rabbit), Geoffrey St. John (Skunk) and Hershey (Cat) are a few examples and there are probably so many others I don't know of. Everyone cringes at the idea of a human/hedgehog offspring but a confirmed theory of mine disproves that they'd give birth to some abomination (IF they ever were to have kids): "Mobians usually pair up with members of their own kind, but it is not unheard of for interracial couples to be formed. When interracial Mobian couples have children, they typically either have twin children that each carry one of the parents' physical traits, or have one child that carries both parents' physical traits." This is straight from the Mobius wiki. If Sonic and Elise were to have kids, they will most likely have a little Hedgie boy and a little human girl. I've seen it time and time again. Even if there were a hybrid, it'd turn out to be a human with ears and a tail or something, big whoop. I don't see what everyone is freaking out for.

Also, on a non-Sonic related point, Goliath and Elisa Maza from Gargoyles (I believe) became a thing and I don't think I've heard anyone complain. Sure, they are two separate universes, but Gargoyles is based on our Earth and everyone treats Mobius as if it was Earth. If a human and a Gargoyle can get together in a more realistic setting and have no backlash, why does a human and Hedgehog get together with backlash? Makes no sense.
